Hello, the end of February and what an end to the month it has been?! I don’t know about you, but I have been wishing for Spring throughout the whole of the month. Yet, here we are, at the start of March with a smattering of snow. I realised however, I have not had a favourites post yet this year, despite using some great products in 2018. So here is my February favourites!
For me, February was very much about skincare and I have focused a lot on getting my skin to become clear and glowy ready for when Spring finally arrives. Thanks to the kindness of so many friends and family this Christmas, I had some lovely new skincare products to try at the start of this year, which I have been loving.
I am quite sure this has been responsible for clearing my skin completely. It is the priciest skincare product I have used before (hello, student budget?!) but I would say it is 100% worth it. You only need a little bit to feel as though you are fully pampered and I definitely notice a difference in my skin in the morning.
I have seen mixed things online about this cleanser, however I have been loving it. I find it slightly heavier than other cleansers I have used previously (although others I have seen say it is lighter – don’t forget I usually use cheaper skincare products). Using it as part of my double cleanse routine in the evening, I have been loving it. I use it to ensure all the make up is removed from my face. Reading others reviews of this product has intrigued me to try other slightly pricier cleansers in the future.
Also, on my Glossier wish list is the rich moisturiser!
Living in a house full of girls, we are all about the pamper nights. This is the perfect face mask to leave your skin feeling refreshed and again, I feel as though I see my skin become clearer after using it. I don’t think that you can tell it is a high street brand when you use it. It feels like you have really looked after your skin. Plus, I am intrigued to use the different varieties they have, as they claim they can do different things to your skin.
For so many years I have been struggling with the fact that all earrings were making my ears hurt. It didn’t matter if I used the finest quality metals or how much I spent on them. After about an hour of wearing them I was struggling to keep them in my ears. Then, I came across these hyper-allergenic ones in a little shop called Lovisa. I picked up 5 pairs for £5, which quite frankly is a bargain and figured I didn’t have anything to lose! They are amazing! I have managed to keep them in for great lengths of time. I really hope I can pick up some other styles, as I would love a pair of hoops too.
Primark Grey High Neck Jumper
Often, I try to mix up my wardrobe as much as I can throughout a month. However, having been so cold this month, chucking on a jumper over everything is so much easier. I have been loving this grey jumper from Primark. Thrown on with a pair of black jeans and heeled boots, I think it can be easily transitioned into an evening outfit. Bonus, it is so comfortable too!
The Greatest Showman Soundtrack
Like much of the world, I have been obsessed with this soundtrack. I have only seen the film once and yet I cannot stop listening to the soundtrack. It is so motivational and really gets me ready for the day! Honestly, the sooner I can watch the film again, the better.
As always, an UtterlyKatie favourites would not be complete without a food favourites. Usually, it is a delicious snack of some kind. However, this month it is something slightly different.
It is not as though I have only just discovered oats. I have been eating porridge for breakfast for years and I love to bake a good flapjack! But, this month I have been trying different oat recipes from Cherry Bakewell Porridge, to some delicious banana pancakes. I have been working to maintain a balanced diet with the amount of exercise I am managing to upkeep so far this year. Oats are the perfect way to keep my energy levels up without the constant need for snacking. Plus, they are just so versatile!
What do you say? Do you have the same favourites or can you suggest something new to try?
