Finding the motivation for February
Hello, February. Goodbye motivation.
I don’t know about everyone else but this is just how I feel about February. I noted in my goals for 2018 post that I really could not start my new goals at the start of January for a number of reasons. However, half way through January and I was well under way to working towards some of those new goals. Moving into February is a completely different story.
I hate the winter and find the dark, cold, rainy days make me feel less motivated than ever. By February, I am quite frankly sick of them and dreaming of those Spring days. It is safe to say February is the month I have to look a little harder for motivation.
I am a sucker for some good motivational quotes…
I love drawing inspiration from other people in general, whilst some get upset from seeing everyone’s “perfect” life on Instagram, it generally (although obviously not always) inspires me to work harder to achieve it. Of course, there are limits and everyone has these, but looking to others for motivation always works for me.
Some may have seen my inspirational quote wall, above my desk at university. It is for those days when I am struggling to concentrate, don’t know why I am trying to do so many things and just would really like to cuddle up with Netflix in bed. Obviously, this sometimes happens and I think balance is good. Sometimes it is best to listen to your body. However, it is also sometimes the case that you really need to get s*** done.
Some of my favourites
I am sharing some of my favourite motivational quotes with you in the hope that you can also gain inspiration from them.
“In the end we only regret the chances we didn’t take.” Anon.
“Let’s invent tomorrow instead of worrying about what happened yesterday.” Steve Jobs
“If you can dream it you can do it.” Walt Disney
“Even Usain Bolt has to train hard to win.” Anon.
“She believed she could so she did.” Anon.
So there we have it, some of my favourite motivational quotes. I hope that they will motivate you to get done what you need to do. You can always reward yourself with some time in bed watching some Netflix afterwards too!
