Hello 2017.

I am not usually one to make resolutions as such, in that I don’t like to say I am going to make massive changes, when realistically I know I won’t be able to make all these changes and stick to them. However, I do think that a new year is a great time to reflect on the previous year and set yourself some goals to achieve throughout the year. Here are some of the things I would like to achieve in 2017.

Linked to my previous post full of Instagram posts, I would really like to take more photos this year. As much as I love photos and looking back on them for memories, I have really missed not taking so many this year. It was a decision I made at the start of the year, to enjoy the moment rather than getting caught up in taking photos all the time. However, I really miss not being able to look back on them, so this is something I would like to make sure I do more this year. I need to get more of a balance.

I am really happy with the level of content I am managing to maintain at the moment and I would love to maintain this throughout the year. However, I would really like to get it to a design state which I am happy with. Currently, its not exactly where I would like it to be, so this is something I need to change. This includes buying a domain as well as the actual design of the blog. I am excited to see how much it can improve in the next year, especially linked to the high quality photography I plan on taking too!

I heard someone on the radio saying that during 2016 they just said yes to everything, this got me thinking, I should say yes to more. Whilst, she said she was obviously much poorer this year, it made me realise that if you say yes to things you are more likely to experience new things, which is surely what life is all about… So perhaps, not everything, but I would like to try more this year!

Ok, I love baking and you all probably know that from my recipes every now and again on here. It is really my stress reliever and makes me happy, so why not do it more? Surely life should be full of things that make you happy? Plus, with the new baking books I got for Christmas I would be silly not to.

This is a random one, I have never had the urge to do anything like this before, nor do I have a piano. But, I figure with YouTube, anything is possible. Perhaps, I will purchase a cheap keyboard and try and teach myself this year. Who knows, maybe this time next year, I will be able to play a song!

These are just a few little things I would like to try, filled with adventure, fun and happiness. Who knows what the year will bring, but I am excited!

Do you have any new year goals?
